Watercolor Workshop:
Technique, Relaxation & Personal Style

Sunday, March 22 | 1:30 – 4 PM
$75 per person
Beginner-friendly class emphasizing watercolor fundamentals and personal expression.

Baltimore area (details shared upon registration)

This watercolor workshop is designed for students of all experience levels, with a focus on relaxation, exploration, and personal expression. The class begins with simple color and water exercises to help students understand how watercolor moves, mixes, and responds to different amounts of water.

From there, participants are invited to work from a selection of provided outlines or open-ended references, which can be traced, loosely interpreted, or abstracted entirely. This approach removes pressure around drawing while allowing each person to explore color, flow, and mark-making in their own way.

The emphasis is not on creating a “perfect” painting, but on slowing down, observing the movement of water and pigment, and developing confidence through process. Students are encouraged to experiment freely, whether their work becomes representational, abstract, or somewhere in between.

All materials are provided, and no prior watercolor experience is necessary. This class is ideal for beginners, curious creatives, and anyone looking for a relaxed, social way to engage with painting.

Individual watercolor sessions are available for adults and children seeking personalized guidance, skill-building, or a quieter learning environment.
Sessions are tailored to each student’s goals and experience level.

My Teaching Philosophy

I teach with softness and curiosity,
and I strive to paint the same way.

Being gentle with others comes naturally —
being gentle with ourselves is the real work.
